Dallas Keuchel allowed two runs -- one earned -- on seven hits over six innings in a loss to the Mariners on Monday.
Keuchel struck out six and walked none in another solid performance. He's allowed two runs or less in three straight starts, deflating his ERA from 5.53 to 4.37. Keuchel is proving to be an acceptable AL-only option, and he has a decent matchup on deck against the White Sox.

Dallas Keuchel allowed one run over six innings to earn the win Wednesday as the Astros topped the Orioles.
Keuchel kept the potent Orioles lineup off-balance all night, allowing just five hits while walking two. The southpaw has now won two straight starts and three of his last four. He'll next toe the slab Monday against the Mariners.

Dallas Keuchel pitched seven innings of two-run ball to earn a victory over the Angels on Friday.
Keuchel allowed six hits, walked none and struck out four for his second win opposite two losses. He's not going to put up a pretty ERA or WHIP for the Astros, but at least he's doing a nice job of eating innings, something the guys ahead of him at the beginning of the season struggled to accomplish.

Dallas Keuchel gave up two runs in six innings in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday.
It was a solid performance against a tough lineup. Keuchel, who was just added to the rotation this week, gave up five hits and two walks while striking out three. It was just the 10th quality start by the Astros this season, which is still dead-last in the majors. This should be enough for Keuchel to stick for a little while, but he's not fantasy relevant.

Paul Clemens left Monday's appearance with a right pinkie injury.
Clemens was struck by a comebacker and appeared to dislocate the finger, but the Astros' trainer popped it back in place and he stayed in to face one more batter. The club reconsidered after that, though, and decided to remove him. Clemens saved the bullpen with 5 1/3 scoreless relief frames after Erik Bedard lasted only 1/3 of an inning.

Astros placed RHP Edgar Gonzalez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 26, with a right shoulder strain.
Gonzalez complained of soreness earlier this week, so he'll now get some extended rest. Josh Fields will replace him in the Astros' bullpen.

Alex White will undergo Tommy John surgery.
White showed diminished velocity this spring and was diagnosed with a strained pitching elbow, but the injury turned out to be worse than that. The young right-hander will obviously miss all of 2013 and might not be ready for the start of 2014.
