Twins signed RHP Kyle Davies to a minor league contract.
The deal does not include an invite to major league spring training. Davies, 29, had an ugly 6.75 ERA over 13 start with the Royals last season before finishing the year with the Blue Jays' Triple-A affiliate. He'll function as organizational pitching depth.

Blue Jays signed RHP Kyle Davies to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old former prospect was released by Kansas City earlier this month after going 29-44 with an ugly 5.34 ERA over 99 starts. Davies has a 6.75 ERA over 13 starts this season. He was arrested for disorderly intoxication in the Tampa area a few weeks back. Davies won't have any fantasy impact this season.

Kyle Davies was arrested for disorderly intoxication in the Tampa area this week, one day before his release.
The Royals cut ties with Davies on Wednesday, mostly because of his continued failures in the big leagues. But there's little doubt now that the arrest also played a factor. The 27-year-old former prospect is seeking a spot in another organization and seems likely to find an opportunity somewhere. Of course, this won't help.

Royals released RHP Kyle Davies.
Davies was one of GM Dayton Moore's first additions back in June of 2007, but the 27-year-old right-hander went 29-44 with an ugly 5.34 ERA over 99 starts during his time with Kansas City. He was recently placed on the disabled list for the second time this season due to a right shoulder impingement. The Royals will be responsible for the remainder of his $3.2 million salary for this season.

Ramirez has been out since late May but is no longer experiencing concussion-related symptoms. He should rejoin the Twins before the end of the month.
