Robbie Ray limited the Astros to two runs on Sunday, striking out eight over 4 1/3 innings.
Ray had the opportunity to play spoiler the Astros' playoff chances and he did an admirable job of it, as the Diamondbacks ultimately won 5-3. All was not lost for the boys from Houston, though, as they secured the second Wild Card slot thanks to the Angels' loss to the Rangers. But enough about them. The 24-year-old Ray struck out eight and walked one over his 4 1/3 innings of work. He finishes up the 2015 season holding a respectable 3.52 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 119/49 K/BB ratio across 127 2/3 innings. The numbers are very nice and it will be interesting to see how Ray develops entering next season. Sun, Oct 4, 2015 06:36:00 PM
