Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) has been taking ground balls and hitting recently.
He's yet to test out his hamstring by running, which is no surprise since he's barely over two weeks into his 4-6 week timetable. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly stressed that the club will make sure Hanley's hamstring is fully healed before bringing him back.

Hanley Ramirez is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after an MRI confirmed the diagnosis of a left hamstring strain.
Ramirez was placed on the disabled list over the weekend after he injured his hamstring during Friday's game. While there was initially some hope that he would be able to return at the minimum, he'll now likely be sidelined until the early part of June. Dee Gordon should get most of the playing time at shortstop for now.

Dodgers placed SS Hanley Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.
Well, that was quick. Ramirez was back for just four games before requiring a return trip to the disabled list. The good news is that a strain could be as simple as a two-week fix as opposed to the torn thumb ligament that kept him out for the entire first month. The bad news is that Ramirez was raking, hitting .455/.500/.909 with a home run in 12 plate appearances. Check back in a few weeks to see how he's progressing.

Hairston is on the DL with a left groin strain, but it appears that the knee might be a bigger issue at the moment. However, he still played in an extended spring training game Monday, so it appears that it's not a significant setback. He could still be ready to return before the end of the month.

He did so without discomfort, something he was unable to do over the weekend. Beckett will throw off the mound soon before testing out his groin by running. The Dodgers haven't set a timetable for his return, but early June seems likely if all goes well.

The move clears a spot for Scott Van Slyke on the 40-man roster. Billingsley had season-ending Tommy John surgery last month and will likely miss the early part of 2014.

Tolleson was placed on the disabled list April 15 with a lower back strain and now needs surgery to repair the injury. He is expected to be sidelined for 3-5 months and could feasibly miss the rest of the season.
