Kevin Durant hit just 5-of-21 shots, was 0-for-4 from downtown and 11-of-15 from the line to finish with 21 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two blocks and seven turnovers in Wednesday's Game 5 elimination loss to the Grizzlies.
This was KD's worst shooting night of the season, as he went 1-on-5 all night against a tough Grizzlies' defense. Durant got himself wide open for a potential game-tying shot at the end, but wasn't even close with the attempt. Scott Brooks will catch a lot of heat for his poor game plan (Durant vs. the Grizzlies), but this would have likely been a much different series had Russell Westbrook not blown out his knee. Serge Ibaka had 17 points, eight boards and three blocks in the loss, while Reggie Jackson had 16 points, nine boards, five assists and a huge 3-pointer in the loss.
May 16 - 12:45 AM
Kevin Durant is struggling in the fourth quarter and overtime over the last two games, shooting just 3-of-17 from the field.
Durant is being asked to do everything and he's looking like a player who runs out of gas at the finish line over the last couple of contests. Without Russell Westbrook, Durant will continue to shoulder a heavy load for the Thunder, and the only way the team will keep their season alive is if someone (anyone) can consistently assist Durant on the offensive end.

Kevin Durant scored 27 points on 10-of-27 shooting during Game 4's loss in Memphis, adding seven boards, seven assists, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers in 48 minutes.
Durant hit a big shot with six seconds left to get the game to overtime, but the Thunder totally ran out of gas in the extra frame. OKC played a solid game and actually won the battle on the glass and limited Memphis to 40.4 percent shooting. Serge Ibaka had a great game, scoring 17 points with 14 boards, one assist, three blocks and one 3-pointer.
May 14 - 12:50 AM
Kevin Durant said he "can do a lot more" when asked about his play in the second round.
Durant is doing everything for the Thunder, but he's demanding more from himself. "It's always things you can do more. I talk to one of my good friends and he said no matter how good you're playing you can always do more," he said. Durant has been electric vs. the Grizzlies and is leading his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals in the postseason, but he can't do it all on his own.

Russell Westbrook
Sidelined
Thunder GM Sam Presti said Russell Westbrook (knee surgery) is expected to make a full recovery and should be the same player he was before the injury.
Westbrook should get a firmer rehab timetable once he sheds his crutches within the next month. At that point, we'll have a better idea of when he can begin working out and eventually resume basketball activities. Westbrook should be completely healed and ready to go by the start of training camp.
