Wayne Ellington scored 17 points during a 111-110 win over the Jazz on Thursday and started the second half in place of injured Luke Babbitt (hip).
Ellington made 6-of-9 field goals and drained three from beyond the arc. He has played over 26 minutes in his three games this season and has scored double-digit points in the last two. With Luke Babbitt (hip), Derrick Williams (back) and several other Heat players hurting, Ellington could see more minutes and a larger role in the near future. The one downside is his lack of peripheral stats, making him very dependent on his shooting. He is a good short-term add, but with Josh Richardson and Justice Winslow returning soon, there may not be too much long-term value with Ellington. But it's hard to argue with his fast start to his season. Dec 1 - 11:39 PM
