A source told the Boston Globe that Paul Pierce "is already beginning to prepare for relocation from Boston."

This is the second report this week that Pierce does not expect to return to the Celtics. The team can buy him out for $5 million prior to June 30, or the club can pick up a $15.3 million option for the final year of his deal. The Celtics could also attempt to trade him, but GM Danny Ainge has voiced support for Pierce since the Celtics were eliminated from the postseason. "I thought Paul had a terrific year," Ainge said. It's too early to tell what Pierce's future holds, and the decision is entirely out of Pierce's control. It would be strange to see him in a different uniform. May 17 - 8:18 AM

We've heard Rondo could be traded in the "right deal" for a while now, but Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook or someone of that nature is not walking through the door. The C's will only move Rondo if it's a trade that unquestionably makes the team better, and it's not expected that scenario will be available to Boston. The Boston Herald writes this "nearly annual look into Rondo's trade value has to eventually reach a limit," but we wouldn't expect it to be during the offseason.
