Orlando has granted the veteran permission because he's just not in their future plans. he has two y ears left on his deal for approximately $15 million, but only half of his salary each season is guaranteed. The Magic will attempt to trade him during the offseason.

GM Rob Hennigan said there has been no decision made on Al Harrington's future with the team.
It would be a total surprise if Harrington isn't dealt or bought out in the offseason as the Magic are stacked with intriguing prospects along the frontline. Expect to see the veteran wearing a different uniform next year.

Al Harrington, who hasn't played over the last three games, could be seated on the bench for the remainder of the season as the Magic evaluate their young players.
"It's really nothing to do with his knees," Jacque Vaughn said. "It's a coach's decision. I'm going to give the opportunity to play some of our young guys and give them some experience." Harrington was never a long-term fit in Orlando, and the Magic will likely try and trade him or buy him out in the offseason. Harrington being out of the picture means Tobias Harris and Maurice Harkless should continue to see heavy minutes the rest of the way.

Al Harrington scored 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Harrington is putting up decent per-minute numbers, but he has yet to cross the 20-minute threshold in a game. There is still a ton of risk for DNPs and injury, but owners should at least have him on a watch list while he's taking steps forward.

Arron Afflalo's season-ending hamstring injury is a slight tear and not a strain.
That makes the decision to shut him down look like a much more cut-and-dry choice, but it doesn't change anything as he was already out. Moe Harkless and Tobias Harris are must-own, must-start players while Beno Udrih is going to get extra burn with Afflalo out of the lineup.

Big Baby has lost an unspecified amount of weight after changing his diet in order to take pressure off of his foot, but there is a chance he is dealt in the offseason as the Magic continue their youth movement. "He has a decision to make," Davis said of GM Rob Hennigan when asked if he was in Orlando's long-term plans. "It could go both ways with a lot of things."
