Rodney Harrison officially announced his retirement and hire by NBC Sports Wednesday morning.
The NY Daily News also reports that Tony Dungy will join Harrison on Football Night in America. Jerome Bettis' contract expired. The only player ever with over 30 career sacks and 30 interceptions, Harrison won two Super Bowls with the Patriots as the ultimate "in the box safety." His unpopularity with players around the league will greatly hurt his longshot Hall of Fame chances. He was only voted to two Pro Bowls, and the number should have been closer to six.
