Bills RE Mark Anderson (knee surgeries) is now participating fully at OTAs.
A predictable free-agent flop in 2012, Anderson missed all but five games in his first season with Buffalo after signing a four-year, $20 million contract. His year was primarily derailed by two knee surgeries to repair lateral meniscus damage. Anderson remains the Bills' best pass rusher beyond Mario Williams, so he's likely ticketed for a big role in Mike Pettine's new defense.

Buffalo signed Anderson to a four-year, $19.5 million contract last offseason, but he was a major flop as he battled a knee injury. He played in just five games and registered one sack. There was some uncertainty about Anderson's future with the Bills, but the new coaching staff is reportedly "anxious" to see him at full health. Anderson is due a total of $4 million this season.

It's fair to wonder if Anderson's stay in Buffalo will span just one season. Anderson was active once after Week 5 following in-season knee surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus. Anderson ultimately underwent another surgery, and still couldn't get on the field. The Bills have ruled out DE Mark Anderson (knee surgery) for Week 16.
Anderson was active last week against Seattle and practiced on a limited basis Friday, but still isn't healthy enough to return. The Bills are likely regretting not placing him on injured reserve earlier in the season. Anderson hasn't appeared in a game since Week 5 and will likely finish 2012 with just one sack. He's signed through 2015.

BuffaloBills.com reports that TE Scott Chandler (ACL surgery) is likely to be a participant in practice right from the start of training camp.
Chandler tore his ACL in Week 16 last season, and it's five months to the day since he underwent surgery. On Thursday, following the team's OTA practice, Chandler was on the field running routes and catching passes. The soon-to-be 29-year-old says he "feels good," and thinks it's "realistic" to be ready for camp. We're skeptical, but it certainly sounds like Chandler might be ready for Week 1.

Bills re-signed exclusive rights free agent TE Mike Caussin to a one-year, $630,000 contract.
Caussin missed the entire 2012 season as he recovered from a torn ACL. Assuming he makes the roster, Cuassin will provide special teams help and insurance at tight end with Scott Chandler now dealing with an ACL tear of his own.
