After allegedly falling out of shape during the 2012 season, OLB LaMarr Woodley said he's "getting after it" in the Steelers' offseason conditioning program.
"I've been training since the middle of February," he said. Woodley has missed nine games over the past two seasons and registered just four sacks across 13 appearances last year. The Steelers need more out of him. They can field a special pass-rush duo along with rookie Jarvis Jones if Woodley gets in shape.

Steelers OLB LaMarr Woodley has agreed to a restructured contract.
Woodley converted about $5.4 million of his $9 million salary into a signing bonus, clearing roughly $4 million in cap space. Woodley notched 27 tackles and four sacks in 13 games last season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Steelers "will" restructure OLB LaMarr Woodley's contract.
It was an expected move. Woodley's $9 million base salary is one of the highest on the Steelers. A large chunk of it — perhaps all the way down to the minimum — should be converted to a signing bonus. The Steelers are running wild restructuring deals, creating even more severe cap issues down the line.

The Steelers have yet to approach OLB LaMarr Woodley about restructuring his contract.
Beat writer Ed Bouchette considers Woodley a "likely candidate" to restructure. The Steelers are already reworking Ben Roethlisberger, Lawrence Timmons and James Harrison's deals. The Steelers want Woodley to get into better shape for 2013, but he doesn't appear to be a candidate for release.

Heath Miller (torn ACL) remains without a timetable for a return, but believes "there’s a chance" he'll be ready for Week 1.
"I’m running now. I’m doing everything," Miller said. "I’m not at full speed, but I’ve been able to do everything that they’ve asked me to do. So, I’m pleased and encouraged. It’s been a long process. ... But I’m going to keep taking it one day at a time and get better every day." The Steelers didn't draft a tight end, so they're clearly counting on Miller contributing in 2013. He's too risky to count on as a low-end TE1 for fantasy purposes, however.
