Titans agreed to terms with RB Jalen Parmele, formerly of the Jaguars.
He's replacing Jamie Harper, who was waived on Wednesday. Per the Nashville Tennessean's John Glennon, the Titans view Parmele as a better receiver and special teamer than Harper, who was used as a battering ram brute in the running game. Parmele averaged just 3.6 yards on his 40 carries last season, but the depth chart is wide open behind Chris Johnson and Shonn Greene.

The Titans hosted RB Jalen Parmele for a free-agent visit on Friday.
Parmele visited the Seahawks in early April but has otherwise generated no legitimate interest. He's a plodding runner with some special teams value.

Free agent RB Jalen Parmele visited the Seahawks.
As part of the Jaguars' injury-ravaged backfield last year, Parmele recorded 40 carries for 143 yards and no touchdowns. But in reality, he's a borderline NFL player that focuses mostly on lead-blocking and special teams. Parmele can also help out on kick returns in a pinch.

Jaguars RB Jalen Parmele (injured reserve) underwent surgery Thursday to repair his partially torn groin.
There's no word yet on a timetable. If it was sports hernia surgery, Parmele could be running again in a few weeks. A fringe roster type, Parmele is due to reach free agency in 2013.

Sidelined
Jake Locker reiterated Tuesday that his surgically-repaired shoulder feels "normal."
"I don't know a whole lot about it as far as if it's supposed to be better or stronger, but I can tell you it feels better and just the same as it did before I got hurt," Locker said. "I haven't had any problems with it. I haven't had any moments with it where, I'm like, 'Aw, man, I can feel that,' or 'it slipped a little bit.' It feels great. It feels normal and I'm excited about that." Locker isn't gushing the way a healed athlete usually does, but it doesn't appear there's any reason for concern. Locker still hasn't been cleared for contact, but is expected to be before camp.

Titans KR/WR Marc Mariani (compound leg fracture) is "feeling good and feeling healthy," and expects to be ready for training camp.
Mariani's brutal leg break last preseason was the same injury suffered by Louisville's Kevin Ware in the Elite Eight. Mariani is just three years removed from a Pro Bowl campaign as a returner, but won't be guaranteed a roster spot after the Titans signed Kevin Walter and re-upped Darius Reynaud.
