Rolle, a former Rhodes Scholar and sixth-round pick of the Titans in 2010, planned on becoming a neurosurgeon once his football career was over. That time could be now. He's too slow and not athletic enough to play in the NFL.

Steelers signed S Myron Rolle to a reserve/future contract.
Rolle spent last year out of football after being waived at the Titans' final cuts. While Rolle certainly has the smarts to play in the NFL, he lacks the athleticism and straight-line speed. He'll struggle to make the 2012 roster.

Titans waive S Myron Rolle.
Rolle got a big name for sitting out the entire 2009 season while pursuing a Rhodes Scholar degree, but safeties that run 4.76 forties don't last long in the NFL. He spent 2010 on the practice squad and may be headed back there.

Titans S Myron Rolle will join former President Bill Clinton on a trip to the Congo to participate in a Clinton Global Initiative Lead program to aid displaced refugees.
The two men struck up a friendship two years back when Rolle was honored as a Rhodes Scholar. The former Florida State star has since earned his master's in medical anthropology at Oxford University. His goal is to be a neurosurgeon when his football career is over. Rolle has been working out this offseason with noted speed expert Tom Shaw at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.

Heath Miller (torn ACL) remains without a timetable for a return, but believes "there’s a chance" he'll be ready for Week 1.
"I’m running now. I’m doing everything," Miller said. "I’m not at full speed, but I’ve been able to do everything that they’ve asked me to do. So, I’m pleased and encouraged. It’s been a long process. ... But I’m going to keep taking it one day at a time and get better every day." The Steelers didn't draft a tight end, so they're clearly counting on Miller contributing in 2013. He's too risky to count on as a low-end TE1 for fantasy purposes, however.
