Demaryius Thomas said he's expecting more single coverage this season thanks to the arrival of Wes Welker.
"I was kind of excited, actually, because with that guy, and (Eric) Decker, and two great tight ends, it's going to be hard to double-team somebody," Thomas said of the Welker signing. "So, I think it will help me out and help the team out." Thomas ranked 13th in the league last year with 141 targets. Something around 120 is more realistic this season, but he's still locked in as a second-round fantasy pick. Julio Jones is in a similar situation and he produced a top-9 fantasy season last year.

Demaryius Thomas caught three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown in Denver's Divisional Round loss to the Ravens.
Thomas' 17-yard score in the fourth quarter was one of his patented catch-and-run numbers, but it was an otherwise disastrous day for Denver's ascendant No. 1 receiver. He hurt the Broncos with two calamitous drops, and never got on the same page with Peyton Manning. He was targeted on just seven of Manning's 43 pass attempts. Thomas' 94/1,434/10 regular season has him locked-in as a second-round talent in next summer's fantasy drafts, but it's going to be a long offseason for a former first-round pick who's come all the way back from a torn Achilles' tendon.

Thomas' seventh 100-yard game of the year leaves him with a regular-season ending line of 94/1,434/10. It's a remarkable feat for a player whose career was once on the ropes thanks to a torn Achilles' tendon, and establishes Thomas as one of the pre-eminent receivers in the league heading into his age-25 campaign in 2013. The former No. 22 pick is not just a product of Peyton Manning, either, as his fast finish under
Tim Tebow
in 2011 will attest. Thomas will be a borderline first-round pick in fantasy leagues next summer.

Demaryius Thomas caught nine passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in Denver's Week 16 win over the Browns.
Thomas capped off Denver's opening drive with a 22-yard touchdown, and breezed toward his sixth 100-yard effort of the year despite not touching the ball over the game's final 16:17. The Broncos' third-year receiver will now enter Week 17 with an 87/1,312/9 line. Thomas' ascension is complete.

Updating a previous item, Knowshon Moreno (knee surgery) has not been medically cleared for Broncos OTAs.
With Willis McGahee a no-show and Moreno still hobbled, second-round pick Montee Ball will soak up first-team reps during the Organized Team Activities. Moreno is at Denver's Dove Valley facility, but he's not practicing. He's likely to be healed by training camp, but projects as a third-stringer this year.
