Chargers re-signed restricted free agent Danario Alexander to a one-year, $1.323 million contract.
Alexander drew scant interest in free agency, but teams weren't willing to commit major dollars to a receiver that has undergone multiple knee surgeries. Alexander will almost certainly be a starter in San Diego. Vincent Brown should give Malcom Floyd a run for his money on the opposite side.

Restricted free agent Danario Alexander did not sign an offer sheet with another team prior to Friday night's deadline.
The Chargers gambled by tendering Alexander at the lowest level where they would have received no compensation, but it paid off. "Two to three teams" reportedly poked around DX, but the Chargers were going to match any reasonable offer. It wouldn't have made sense for another team to commit major dollars to Alexander's troublesome knees. He has yet to sign his Chargers' tender, but Alexander will be back to form a solid trio at receiver with Malcom Floyd and Vincent Brown.

Restricted free agent Danario Alexander is expected to be on the field when the Chargers' voluntary minicamp begins Tuesday.
Much like Giants restricted free agent Andre Brown, Alexander has an injury protection agreement in place. His arrival Tuesday will put him in the good graces of the new coaching regime and prove he has no intention of holding out despite ripping off a 34/597/7 line over the final eight games of last season. We're not expecting DX to get an offer sheet before Friday's deadline.

The Sideline View's Adam Caplan believes the Chargers will match any "reasonable" offer for restricted free agent Danario Alexander, but calls the Browns a "team to keep an eye on."
Per Caplan, a "few teams" are mulling a run at Alexander. "DX" would be reuniting with OC Norv Turner in Cleveland, who watched Alexander explode for a 34/597/7 line after joining the starting lineup in Week 10 last season. Alexander would make a solid, young Browns receiver corps even more formidable, but his injury history should ensure any offer to lure him from San Diego is modest.

Chargers WR Vincent Brown said his ankle is "100 percent."
Brown fractured his ankle last August. The Chargers are taking it easy on him during OTAs, but Brown expects to be full-go for training camp. Malcom Floyd and Danario Alexander are running with the first team, but both Brown and rookie Keenan Allen could jump ahead of Floyd in due time. San Diego was planning to "feature" Brown last season, although there's now a new regime in town.
