Jeremy Kerley caught three balls for 88 yards in the Jets' Week 17 loss to Buffalo.
One of the Jets' few bright spots during an embarrassing 2012 campaign, 24-year-old Kerley established career highs in receptions (56), yards (827), and touchdowns (2) during his second NFL season. Kerley also has value on punt returns. Owed just $555,000 in 2013, Kerley will safely return as the Jets' slot receiver on all passing downs and should have a good chance to start.

Jeremy Kerley was held without a catch in New York's Week 16 loss to the Chargers.
With Greg McElroy getting the start at quarterback, New York's former No. 1 receiver drew only one target. Kerley has been a true bright spot for an otherwise moribund Jets team this season, but Gang Green's horrendous quarterback play has helped limit him to just eight catches over his past four games. The Jets will have to find an upgrade under center for Kerley to enter 2013 as a viable WR3.

Jeremy Kerley caught just one pass for 11 yards in Monday night's Week 15 loss to the Titans.
Kerley reeled in just one of his five targets, and it was a pretty nice catch on a third-down play. The other four passes that came his way were complete misfires by Mark Sanchez, with one ending up as an interception. With Braylon Edwards returning to the team, Kerley was relegated back to the No. 2 receiver role. He holds no fantasy value for Week 16 against the Chargers.

Jeremy Kerley caught four passes for 27 yards in Week 14 versus the Jaguars.
Kerley was targeted on six of Mark Sanchez's 19 throws, and he also ended up losing a fumble in the first half. Kerley missed a series or two in the opening 30 minutes with a hamstring issue, but it's not a long-term concern. In a run-heavy offense that sports a terrible quarterback, Kerley is no more than a WR4.

Santonio Holmes (foot) is not participating in voluntary workouts, as expected.
Holmes has been at Ohio State during the first set of Jets minicamps, taking classes and rehabbing his Lisfranc fracture. He admitted he couldn't play if there was a game this week, and may not even be a full go at training camp. Even if Holmes does get back to 100 percent, he should not be considered a starter in fantasy circles. He has recorded one 100-yard day in his last 20 games.

Jets WR Stephen Hill admits he didn't "understand the whole football concept" as a rookie.
That could be a problem. Hill also admits he was bothered by the intense media scrutiny. "We’re always on ESPN for something, and it was just a lot," Hill said. "It put pressure on learning, and then having to explain if I messed up, so that’s where most of the pressure was. ... It probably did throw me off during games, you’re just out there running." Hill has been put on notice by coach Rex Ryan, but WRs coach Sanjay Lal believes he could have a big year: "He can be whoever he wants to be." A large part of Hill's progress will depend on who's under center.
