Will Rackley practiced at the Jaguars' starting left guard during pre-draft minicamp.
The 76th pick in the 2011 draft, Rackley struggled mightily as a rookie before missing all of 2012 with a high ankle sprain that required surgery. "He’s done a really good job," new coach Gus Bradley said of Rackley after the minicamp. Rackley is penciled in -- very lightly -- as the starter next to Eugene Monroe.

A source tells the Times Union that the Jaguars are "comfortable" giving Will Rackley a shot at winning the starting left guard job.
Rackley missed the entire 2012 season due to a high-ankle sprain. And as a rookie in 2011, he graded out as one of the game's worst guards while starting 14 games. The Jags would do well to bring in some serious competition.

Jaguars placed LG Will Rackley (ankle) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Rackley recently suffered a setback in his return from a high-ankle sprain. The Jaguars may be better off without him, as Eben Britton has moved inside with pleasant surprise Cameron Bradfield holding down right tackle. A third-round pick in the 2011 draft, Rackley will return in 2013 to compete for a job.

Jaguars LG Will Rackley suffered a setback in his recovery from a high ankle sprain and is out indefinitely.
Rackley was one of the worst starting offensive linemen in football as a rookie, so there may be no falloff in Jacksonville's run blocking and pass pro at left guard. The Jaguars are thinning fast on the O-Line, though. G/C Jason Spitz is lost for the season, and the Jags didn't draft a single lineman in April.

Undrafted Jaguars QB Jordan Rodgers will be sidelined until training camp after undergoing sports-hernia surgery.
Aaron's younger brother, Rodgers is competing with fellow undrafted QB Matt Scott for No. 3 duties. This gives the more-talented Scott another leg up in a competition the Jaguars would likely prefer him to win.

The Florida state attorney's office still has no update on if formal charges will be filed against Maurice Jones-Drew.
The incident at a St. Augustine restaurant is being called a one-punch altercation by police. They've sent their findings to the attorney's office, who will decide how to proceed. "It's the offseason," MJD said. "In the offseason, you can go out and do what you like. We went out, we were having a good time and an unfortunate situation happened." Jones-Drew continues to rehab his foot injury away from the team. His status for the outset of training camp is unclear as he preps for what will be a messy contract year, but coach Gus Bradley says he's "happy" with the shape MJD is in.

Coach Gus Bradley said he's giving suspended WR Justin Blackmon a clean slate.
Blackmon has two DUI arrests and a four-game substance-abuse violation on his resume since 2010. But none of that occurred while Bradley was in contact with the 2012 No. 5 overall pick. The pair is having regular conversations as Blackmon tries to stabilize his life and career. "He's never done anything wrong with me. It'd be different if I was talking to him and I didn't feel like we were connecting at all. I do feel a connection," Bradley said.

Brackett has never appeared in an NFL game since going undrafted out of Penn State in 2011. He spent last year on injured reserve with a knee injury. The pass-catching tight end is expected back to compete for a roster spot at training camp.
