The Buffalo News says Da'Norris Searcy has a "great shot" to start at strong safety this season.
Searcy began to eat into George Wilson's playing time last year thanks to his physicality. The 2011 fourth-round pick led all safeties in bench press reps at his Combine and is a thumper that likes to play near the line of scrimmage. He's a great bet to reach 100 tackles this year while FS Jairus Byrd roams the back line.

The Bills' website mentions third-year S Da'Norris Searcy as a potential in-house option to replace George Wilson at strong safety.
Searcy, a 2011 fourth-round pick out of UNC, operated as Buffalo's third safety behind Wilson and Jairus Byrd last season. He's someone for IDP owners to keep close tabs on this spring and summer. Searcy, 24, was an impact run defender and didn't embarrass himself in pass coverage, also forcing two fumbles.

Bills SS Da'Norris Searcy (groin) has been ruled out for Week 17.
Searcy injured his groin in the first half of last week's loss to the Dolphins. While not a starter, Searcy was in a 70:30 rotation with George Wilson at strong safety for most of the season. With Searcy sidelined, Wilson will return to an every-down role, boosting his IDP fantasy value for Week 17.

Bills DBs coach George Catavolos envisions fourth-round pick Da'Norris Searcy as an in-the-box strong safety.
"I see a young man that’s physical," said Catavolos. "He’s 220 pounds, a good tackler, plays well in the box." Catavolos did concede that he's concerned with how quickly Searcy will pick up the pro game after missing all of OTAs. He's likely to focus on special teams initially while backing up George Wilson.

BuffaloBills.com reports that TE Scott Chandler (ACL surgery) is likely to be a participant in practice right from the start of training camp.
Chandler tore his ACL in Week 16 last season, and it's five months to the day since he underwent surgery. On Thursday, following the team's OTA practice, Chandler was on the field running routes and catching passes. The soon-to-be 29-year-old says he "feels good," and thinks it's "realistic" to be ready for camp. We're skeptical, but it certainly sounds like Chandler might be ready for Week 1.

Bills re-signed exclusive rights free agent TE Mike Caussin to a one-year, $630,000 contract.
Caussin missed the entire 2012 season as he recovered from a torn ACL. Assuming he makes the roster, Cuassin will provide special teams help and insurance at tight end with Scott Chandler now dealing with an ACL tear of his own.
