Malcolm Smith is penciled in as the Seahawks' starting weak-side linebacker.
Smith was a nickel 'backer in 2012, recording 22 tackles and two pass breakups across 16 appearances (three starts). He'll be replacing Leroy Hill, who managed only 47 tackles last season. It's not a great situation for IDP value.

Seahawks LB Malcolm Smith left Thursday night's game against the 49ers with a concussion and will not return.
Smith was injured on the opening kickoff but jogged off under his own power. He's a second-year linebacker out of USC who is primarily a special teams player.

Seahawks selected USC LB Malcolm Smith with the No. 242 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.
Smith is an old pal of Pete Carroll's, who brought him in for an official pre-draft visit a few weeks back. Though just a two-year starter at weak-side linebacker at USC, Smith is a workout dynamo. He benched 225 pounds 28 times at the Trojans' March 30 Pro Day, and ran 4.47 at 6-foot-1, 225. Smith projects as a special teamer and possible nickel 'backer in Seattle.

Percy Harvin said he'll play "a little bit" of running back this season.
During four seasons with the Vikings, Harvin averaged 1.9 carries per game. If that number rises in Seattle, it won't be by much. Although Harvin is more than capable of running the read option with Russell Wilson, the Seahawks need him in the slot. They're stacked at running back with Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin and rookie Christine Michael.

The Seattle Times doesn't envision the Seahawks cutting TE Zach Miller.
We don't, either. Miller has a mammoth cap number for 2013 as he's due a $6.8 million salary and a $3 million roster bonus, but he was finally starting to come on in the latter stages of the 2012 season, capping it off with an eight-catch, 142-yard, one-score Divisional Round playoff game outburst against the Falcons. He should be in line for a bigger role on offense this coming season.
