Ravens re-signed exclusive rights free agent LB Josh Bynes to a one-year, $480,000 contract.
Bynes, 23, appeared in ten games last season, starting three. He made 36 tackles, including the final stop in the Super Bowl. Bynes could compete for a starting job in 2013, but most likely will see most of his time on special teams.

Ravens signed LB Josh Bynes off their practice squad.
Bynes has been a fringe player for the Ravens for two years now. He figures to stick on the active roster going forward thanks to Ray Lewis' season-ending triceps injury.

Ravens LB Josh Bynes is out four weeks with a chipped bone in his spine.
He's now a candidate to be waived/injured. Bynes, 22, was an undrafted rookie out of Auburn last year. He was trying to hang on as a special teamer.

Ravens promoted LB Josh Bynes from the practice squad.
The move gives the Ravens insurance at linebacker with both Jameel McClain and Brendon Ayanbadejo questionable for Sunday's Divisional Round game. Active just once during the regular season, Bynes was held off the stat-sheet.

Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta said the team is "very excited" about Jacoby Jones as a receiver this season.
"We're very excited about Jacoby and the progress he made throughout last season," DeCosta said. "We think we've got some very good young players that can step up and contribute. Deonte Thompson isn't a heralded name, but a guy we think is going to be a good player. We're excited about Tandon Doss. David Reed has had a lot of injuries. He's flashed in practice and made plays." Add Tommy Streeter to the list of young receivers who could see a bigger role in 2013. DeCosta also wouldn't rule out the Ravens signing a veteran receiver.

Ravens placed WR LaQuan Williams on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season.
A deep reserve, Williams appeared in just 11 games on special teams this season, and failed to play a snap on offense. The second-year undrafted free agent will have to claw for a roster spot in 2013.
