Steelers RG David DeCastro (hamstring) is practicing in full this week.
DeCastro appeared on the injury report this week after he was utterly destroyed by Bengals Pro Bowl DT Geno Atkins last Sunday to the tune of two sacks and three quarterback hurries. Atkins, though, has been beating opposing linemen like a drum in recent years, so it can be chalked up as DeCastro's "Welcome to the NFL" moment. He'll be up against Cleveland's strong inside duo of Phil Taylor and Ahtyba Rubin in Week 17.

First-round rookie David DeCastro will make his NFL debut as the Steelers' starting right guard at Dallas in Week 15.
Ramon Foster will flip over to left guard, replacing Willie Colon who is out indefinitely following knee surgery. The Steelers will also have a rookie at right tackle in seventh-rounder Kelvin Beachum, making his third straight start. The Chargers had little trouble caving in Pittsburgh's offensive line last week.

Steelers activated RG David DeCastro (knee surgery) from I.R./designated for return and promoted OL John Malecki from the practice squad.
They also waived WR David Gilreath. DeCastro suffered several knee injuries during the preseason, but he's had three months to recover and should be able to help the Steelers' offensive line down the stretch. He was the 24th overall pick in April's draft. Malecki is a young journeyman swing lineman.

Steelers RG David DeCastro (knee surgery) returned to practice Wednesday.
DeCastro was put on injured reserve with a designation to return after tearing up his knee in the preseason. The Steelers now have two weeks to decide if they'll place him on the active roster. It's unclear if the No. 24 overall pick in the draft would return to a starting job with Ramon Foster showing well at right guard.

Ben Roethlisberger says Heath Miller (knee surgery) is walking without a limp.
Miller tore his ACL, MCL and PCL 3 1/2 months ago. It's a good sign that he's off crutches, but he's limited to weightlifting work for now and remains a strong bet to start the year on the PUP list. The Steelers have been linked to Notre Dame TE Tyler Eifert with the No. 17 overall pick in next week's draft.
