Mohamed Sanu (foot) expects to be at full-speed for May's OTAs.
Sanu cracked the starting lineup in Week 6 last season, but was lost to a stress fracture sustained in Week 8. The Bengals used only one draft pick on a wideout, sixth-rounder Cobi Hamilton. With a quality offseason, Sanu will enter camp ahead of Marvin Jones as the starter opposite A.J. Green.

Mohamed Sanu (foot) confirmed Monday he's back to 100 percent health.
"No nagging pain," Sanu said at the start of the Bengals' offseason program. Sanu underwent surgery for a stress fracture in December. He'll compete with Marvin Jones to start opposite A.J. Green this offseason. Sanu is the favorite.

The stress fracture Sanu sustained was bad enough that he had to undergo surgery in early December. It's a great sign that he'll get off on the right foot (pun intended) in the battle to be the Bengals' No. 2 wideout. Based on coach Marvin Lewis' recent comments, Sanu is the guy the organization wants to emerge.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis believes 2012 third-round pick Mohamed Sanu is ahead of where Chad Johnson was entering his second year.
Lewis was defending his team against cries for the Bengals to use their filthy amount of cap space on a No. 2 receiver. "Mo Sanu (is) way ahead of where (Chad) was in his second year playing in the National Football League," Lewis said. "I’ll go on record saying that." After a somewhat quiet rookie season in 2001, Johnson exploded onto the scene with a 69/1,166/5 stat line as a sophomore.

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy "highly doubts" both Bernard Scott and Giovani Bernard will make the Bengals' 53-man roster.
In other words, Scott's roster spot is in jeopardy. Bernard obviously isn't going anywhere after being the first running back drafted last weekend. The Bengals re-signed Scott, 29, to a one-year deal last month. Cincinnati will likely keep four running backs: BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Bernard, special teams ace Cedric Peerman, and sixth-round pick Rex Burkhead.
