Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne has bulked up from 185 pounds to 193 this offseason.
"You have to be ready to tackle when the opportunity presents itself, so with me putting on a couple of pounds and getting more physical and being in the weight room I think is going to help a lot," Claiborne said. DBs coach Jerome Henderson agrees. "There were times last year when he wasn’t strong enough to execute a certain technique, so he’s had to get stronger to do that and he’s done the work to do that."

The Cowboys want 2012 first-round pick Morris Claiborne to get stronger after an up-and-down rookie season.
Claiborne started fast, but tailed off as the season progressed and was a liability down the stretch. "He has to get stronger," said Cowboys DBs coach Jerome Henderson. "There were times where he struggled getting off receivers because he wasn’t strong enough." Claiborne was unable to lift weights all last offseason while recovering from wrist surgery. He's healthy now.

Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne is "feeling great," and won't require any surgeries coming off a rookie season that featured a number of minor injuries.
Claiborne underwent pre-draft wrist surgery before suffering a "minor" MCL sprain in camp. His knee acted up mid-season, but Claiborne ended up appearing in 15 of 16 games despite also suffering a concussion and ankle injury. A healthy offseason could do wonders for a player coming off a decidedly mixed rookie campaign.

Cowboys rookie CB Morris Claiborne says he's passed all of his concussion tests and expects to play in Week 16 against the Saints.
"I'm feeling good," said Claiborne, who missed Sunday's win over the Steelers. Through 13 starts, Claiborne has 40 tackles and one interception. Pro Football Focus has graded Claiborne as the sixth best rookie cover corner in the NFL this season. PFF has Casey Hayward (GB), Alfonzo Dennard (NE), Stephon Gilmore (BUF), Mike Harris (JAX), and Jonte Green (DET) rated ahead of Claiborne.

Tony Romo (back) is throwing passes and participating in the walkthrough portions of minicamp.
Romo's recovery time was initially supposed to be three weeks, but the team is proceeding cautiously with its franchise quarterback. Coach Jason Garrett said he's "made a lot of progress," but added the team is "erring on the side of caution." Romo is expected to be 100 percent before the start of training camp.

The Cowboys reportedly believe fifth-round pick Joseph Randle can be a "full-time back" if DeMarco Murray suffers another injury.
Also injury prone in college, Murray has missed nine games through two NFL seasons. While we weren't fans of Randle's college tape -- he is straight-linish and not particularly elusive or explosive -- he's going to be a worthy handcuff for drafters of Murray. Randle can get what's blocked and catch the ball.

Cowboys WR Danny Coale (ACL) is targeting training camp for a full return to practice.
Coale blew out his knee last November. During OTAs and minicamp, he mostly went through his rehab routine on the side. He needs to be on the field come August to earn a roster spot as insurance in the slot.

Cowboys WR Tim Benford underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
Benford will miss the rest of rookie minicamp and OTAs before returning for training camp. The former Tennessee Tech receiver spent the entire 2012 season on the practice squad, and he'll face an uphill battle for a roster spot.
