Browns declared WR Josh Cooper inactive for Sunday's Week 15 game against the Redskins.
Cooper is a healthy scratch for the third straight week. The Browns continue to operate as one of the healthiest teams in the league and are favored to beat the RG3-less Redskins. Their inactives: CB Trevin Wade, S Eric Hagg, RB Brandon Jackson, TE Brad Smelley, FB Owen Marecic and OL Jarrod Shaw.

Browns declared WR Josh Cooper, S Eric Hagg, CB Trevin Wade, RB Brandon Jackson, DT Ronnie Cameron, OL Jarrod Shaw, and FB Owen Marecic inactive for Week 14 against the Chiefs.
Cleveland didn't deactivate a single injured player. They're one of the NFL's healthiest teams at this stage of the season, and will be a dangerous spoiler team down the stretch. They're playing the Chiefs today.

Browns declared WR Josh Cooper, RB Brandon Jackson, CB Dimitri Patterson, FS Usama Young, S Ray Ventrone, DT Ronnie Cameron, and OL Jarrod Shaw inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Young is out with a head injury, so Tashaun Gipson is going to start at free safety. The rest of the bunch is relatively healthy.

The Browns are expected to "continue to find playing time" for WR Josh Cooper.
Cooper was targeted eight times by Brandon Weeden in Week 7, and has six catches for 92 yards in two games since being promoted from the practice squad. With Travis Benjamin and Mohamed Massaquoi (questionable, hamstring) returning from injuries, the Browns will continue to carry Cooper on their active roster. It's possible Cooper could find himself in a full-time role at slot receiver, but he isn't on the fantasy radar.

Coach Rob Chudzinski insists Trent Richardson's (leg) absence from OTAs — and likely minicamp — is "precautionary."
"We'll take it day-by-day," Chud said. We don't doubt that the Browns are being extra cautious with last year's No. 3 overall pick, but the problem is Richardson requiring so much caution to begin with. He's been banged up since the second his name was called in New York, and never really approached 100 percent health as a rookie. Richardson's upside remains sky high — there's a reason he was the No. 3 pick — but he must prove he can stay healthy as a sophomore. Constant nagging injuries won't cut it in the rugged AFC North.

Browns WR David Nelson (knee surgery) isn't participating in this week's voluntary workouts.
Nelson is still rehabbing his torn ACL, but should be ready for June's mandatory minicamp. At 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, Nelson joins Greg Little and Josh Gordon to form one of the biggest receiver trios in the league. With new coach Rob Chudzinski's history of heavily utilizing the tight end, however, it's a poor bet Nelson will approach his 2011 stat line of 61/658/5 as the fourth option in the offense.
