The Pittsburgh Penguins have named Mark Recchi as their newest assistant coach.
Recchi is filling the void left by Rick Tocchet, who became the Arizona Coyotes' new bench boss. Recchi had spent the previous three years helping the Penguins' player development and had been recently named as the director of player development. He was also recently elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame. As a player he won three Stanley Cup championships and scored 577 goals and 1,533 points in 1,652 career contests. Jul 11 - 2:59 PM
