| Pos | Role | Name |
| C | 1 | David Krejci ActiveDavid Krejci contributed two assists in Boston's 5-2 win over New York in Game 2 Sunday afternoon. He hasn't scored a goal since his hat trick in Game 4 of Round 1 versus Toronto, but he has six helpers in five playoff outings since then. The Bruins lead the Rangers 2-0 in the second-round series and Krejci still leads all skaters in the postseason in scoring with 16 points. May 20 |
| 2 | Patrice Bergeron ActivePatrice Bergeron is on fire, continuing his scoring streak from that breakout performance in Game 7 of the Boston Bruins' first-round series. He now has points in three straight games as he had two assists in Game 2, including setting up a big Brad Marchand goal that gave Boston key insurance in an eventual 5-2 win. David Krejci also had a pair of apples while Marchand had a two-point output as well (1G, 1A). May 19 |
| 3 | Chris Kelly ActiveChris Kelly and Daniel Paille had a goal and an assist apiece but their Boston Bruins lost to the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 via a shootout. Neither player has the kind of numbers that indicate that they'll be fantasy relevant on most nights, but Kelly at least showed why he was missed to some degree when he was on the shelf about a week or so ago. Apr 18 |
| 4 | Gregory Campbell ActiveGregory Campbell got his first goal of the 2013 playoffs in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The fourth-line center also picked up three hits and a fighting major in the third when he squared off with pugilist Derek Dorsett. Campbell has two points, 11 penalty minutes and 25 hits in nine playoff games. May 20 |
| 5 | Carl Soderberg ActiveCarl Soderberg recorded his first NHL point on Sunday. It was just his second NHL game. He joined the Boston Bruins after scoring 31 goals and 60 points in 54 Swedish Elite League games. Apr 22 |
| 6 | Marc Savard I.L.Marc Savard, who is still suffering from concussion-like symptoms, will be in Boston this week and the Bruins will declare him unfit to play. Savard is under contract through 2016-17 at an annual average salary of just a little over $4 million. The Bruins may not have to place him on long-term injured reserve to start the season though. "We've got a lot of flexibility this year," said GM Peter Chiarelli. "Do I suspect we'll use Savard's LTI? It depends. [Owner Jeremy] Jacobs has allowed us to pursue those types of players. He wants to win. I think if we presented a compelling case, I think he'd let us use it." Jan 14 |
| LW | 1 | Milan Lucic ActiveMilan Lucic got his third goal of the postseason in Boston's Game 2 win over the New York Rangers. He potted the last goal of the contest in a 5-2 victory. Lucic also posted two hits to give him a total of 42 in just nine playoff games. He currently has 10 postseason points. May 20 |
| 2 | Brad Marchand ActiveBrad Marchand said the Boston Bruins need to make sure they don't let the New York Rangers back in the series. The Bruins were up 3-1 on Toronto only to see the Maple Leafs rally and force Game 7. "We realize we let [Toronto] back in it. We didn't have that killer instinct. ... We want to step up and do the job," Marchand said at Tuesday's morning skate. The Bruins lead the Rangers 2-0 heading into Game 3 tonight. May 21 |
| 3 | Daniel Paille ActiveDaniel Paille got clipped on his chin accidentally by the heel of Leo Komarov's skate blade in Game 6 on Sunday night. The Boston winger stayed in the game though and received treatment on the bench. Paille has a goal, an assist and 13 hits in six games in the quarterfinal against Toronto. May 13 |
| 4 | Kaspars Daugavins ActiveKaspars Daugavins will be in the Boston lineup for Game 1 while Rich Peverley is a healthy scratch. Daugavins was skating on the third line in practice this morning alongside Chris Kelly, Jaromir Jagr and Rich Peverley. May 1 |
| 5 | Jay Pandolfo ActiveJay Pandolfo replaced Chris Bourque on the third line Thursday night. Pandolfo, who had been primarily a fourth-liner, was a minus-one in 11:42 of ice time. It's very likely this is a short-term thing as the Bruins are shopping for a No. 3 left wing. Mar 8 |
| RW | 1 | Tyler Seguin ActiveTyler Seguin is likely to begin the second round on Boston's third line. He was bumped down the rotation in favor of veteran winger Jaromir Jagr in Game 7 against Toronto. Seguin remained with Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley during Boston's practice Wednesday. He had one assist in the seventh game of the series for his first point. May 15 |
| 2 | Jaromir Jagr ActiveJaromir Jagr didn't take part in Tuesday's optional skate but will play in Game 3 tonight. Claude Julien wasn't the least bit concerned, saying Jagr knows his body and his conditioning. Plus, it's not like Jagr hasn't been putting in on-ice work on his own time. The 41-year-old winger apparently hit the ice in the hours after Tuesday's Game 2 win to work on his shot and his stickhandling. May 21 |
| 3 | Nathan Horton ActiveNathan Horton's third-period goal triggered the Bruins' improbable rally over the Leafs. Down 4-1 with a little more than 14 minutes left, the Bruins had little energy and they were hearing it from the crowd. But Horton's goal provided a jolt. "It was tough there on the bench, getting booed, and looking at the time clock and watching the seconds count down," said Brad Marchand. ... "After [Horton] got that first one for us that started the climb back, we see the emotion on the bench and guys started to believe. That's what we needed." May 14 |
| 4 | Rich Peverley ActiveRich Peverley logged 13:42 of ice time in his return to Boston's lineup Saturday night in Game 2. The Bruins are still waiting to get some offense out of their third line, which has been sore spot for the club all year. The thought was that Jaromir Jagr would help add some scoring punch alongside Peverley and Chris Kelly, but that is yet to happen. Jagr, Peverley, Kelly and Kaspars Daugavins, who played instead of Peverley in Game 1 against Toronto, don't have a point in Boston's first-round series. May 6 |
| 5 | Shawn Thornton ActiveShawn Thornton wants Boston's fourth line to contribute offensively as well as provide energy. Thornton doesn't have a point in nine playoff games, but his linemates Gregory Campbell and Daniel Paille have contributed a goal and an assist each. "We want to try and take some pressure off the big lines. You can't rely on them all the time," Thornton said. "Obviously this time of year, your best players have to be your best players, but if we chip in every now and again, it helps out. We've been a little snake-bitten, too. We've had some chances. They just weren't going in, so I was happy to see one go in for (Campbell) last game." May 21 |
| D | 1 | Zdeno Chara ActiveZdeno Chara has been logging a ridiculous amount of ice time in the Bruins' eight playoff games to date. He has averaged 30:02 minutes per game, tops in the NHL and a full two minutes more than second place Drew Doughty of the Kings. In Boston's last two games, both first-period overtime victories, Chara has been on the ice for an astounding 73:48. Needless to say, the 6'7" rearguard is running on all cylinders now. May 18 |
| 2 | Dennis Seidenberg SidelinedBoston Bruins coach Claude Julien isn't expecting Dennis Seidenberg (lower body) to return to the lineup for Tuesday's Game 3. Seidenberg was out on the ice for the second straight day but apparently still has a little ways to go before returning to game action. Wade Redden (undisclosed) also appears unlikely to play Tuesday night. The Bruins have been able to weather the injuries to their blueline thanks to the outstanding play of young defenseman Torey Krug, who's scored two goals through the first two games of the series. May 21 |
| 3 | Dougie Hamilton ActiveThe Boston Bruins may have a difficult decision to make when some of their veteran defensemen are available to return to the lineup from their respective injuries. Dennis Seidenberg and Wade Redden appear to be close to returning after practicing with the team on Monday, but the Bruins have benefited from solid performances by young blueliners Dougie Hamilton, Torey Krug and Matt Bartkowski in their absences. When Seidenberg, Redden or Andrew Ference are able to dress again it will be interesting to see what adjustments coach Claude Julien makes to his lineup. Changes may come as early as Game 3 Tuesday night, so stayed tuned for details during the morning skate. May 21 |
| 4 | Andrew Ference SidelinedAndrew Ference (lower body) hasn't resumed skating yet and it doesn't look like he will be back in Boston's lineup any time soon. He has been seen in a walking boot and on crutches. Ference hasn't played since Game 5 against Toronto. May 21 |
| 5 | Johnny Boychuk ActiveJohnny Boychuk registered what turned out to be the game-winning goal in Boston's 5-2 win over the New York Rangers on Sunday in Game 2. He potted the go-ahead goal just past the midway point of the second period for his third tally of the postseason. Boychuk had one marker and five assists during 44 regular-season contests. "You know, just hitting the net I guess, and sometimes it's luck," he said referring to his upswing in offense. "Just getting shots on net and hitting the net. Better chance to score when you hit the net." May 20 |
| 6 | Adam McQuaid ActiveAdam McQuaid has been named a finalist for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy. The award goes to the "player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey." He underwent two surgeries in September because of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, which caused blood clots to form in his neck and shoulder. The ailment was expected to sidelined him for the season, but he returned for the Bruins' regular-season opener once the lockout was settled. May 14 |
| 7 | Matt Bartkowski ActiveMatt Bartkowski scored his first NHL goal in the Bruins' Game 7 win. It was the game's first goal, coming at 5:39. Bartkowski, in only his 23rd game, found the net and also had three shots on goal. Bruins coach Claude Julien was happy how his young defensemen, Bartkowski and Dougie Hamilton, played. "You have to find a way to give credit to those two young guys on the back end —Hamilton and obviously Bartkowski," Julien said. "Bartkowski was moving the puck and carrying it so well tonight, and he scored a big goal for us. I saw Dougie Hamilton get more and more comfortable as the game went on as far as carrying the puck and making plays. You talk about people coming in, well we were minus three real good veterans in our back end, so that’s half your core, and those guys come in and do a heck of a job. May 14 |
| 8 | Torey Krug ActiveIt's obvious that Torey Krug is feeling it as he begins his playoff career. He now has a goal in both of his first two postseason contests and added an assist for a two-point afternoon on Sunday. He was a big part of the Boston Bruins' 5-2 win against the New York Rangers in Game 2 and it's hard to imagine him losing his spot when the veteran defensemen are ready to return. May 19 |
| 9 | Wade Redden SidelinedWade Redden (undisclosed) practiced Monday and he will travel with his Boston teammates to New York. The Bruins and Rangers will play Games 3 and 4 at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. Redden hasn't played since Game 6 in the first round versus Toronto, but he appears to be getting closer to a return after skating with the team for a second time. May 20 |
| G | 1 | Tuukka Rask ActiveThe Boston Bruins' offensive outburst overshadows the fact that Tuukka Rask had another great performance in a 5-2 win against the New York Rangers in Game 2 on Sunday. Rask has now won three games in a row. Rask now has nearly the same save percentage (.928) as he did during his excellent regular season (.929). It's getting tougher and tougher to deny that Rask is one of the better options among goalies, even if he isn't as flashy as Tim Thomas. May 19 |
| 2 | Anton Khudobin ActiveAnton Khudobin was pulled in Tuesday's loss to Philadelphia after he allowed two goals on 16 shots. Tuukka Rask was beaten three times on 14 shots in relief after starting back-to-back games for the Bruins over the weekend. The Bruins have been comfortable starting Khudobin this season and this effort probably won't change that, as he has been a solid backup to Rask. Apr 23 |
