"I've got to stick with it, keep working," he said after going without a goal in the first round. "Any time you're in a bit of a funk, you want to work your way out of it, and by doing that you keep things simple, keep shooting. The chances are there. I've just got to work harder to get them in." This is only his second year in the postseason and his first since 2009 when he was a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets. That series ended in a four-game sweep by Detroit. Green was assessed a penalty for cross-checking Dorsett in retaliation, which angered the Capitals. "That play to me is the one that does concern me because it looked like a slew-foot to me and obviously that's why Mike reacted," coach Adam Oates said. "Mike's not that type of player, and you're watching it. To me it looks like a slew-foot. Very dangerous play. The momentum continued early in the third as the Rangers made it 2-1 when Derek Stepan scored 14 seconds into the period but rookie defenseman Torey Krug scored on the power play just 2:41 later as Steve Eminger was in the penalty box for holding Rich Peverley.
