Paul Stastny was one of three St. Louis forwards to produce three points in the Blues' 6-1, series-winning rout of the Stars in Dallas Wednesday night.
Stastny, Robby Fabbri and Troy Brouwer combined for nine points as the Blues took Game 7 with relative ease in the teams' second-round series. For the first time since 2001, the Blues have advanced to the Western Conference Final. They'll face either the San Jose Sharks or the Nashville Predators, who meet each other Thursday night in Game 7 to wrap up Round 2 of the postseason. The Blues made the elimination of the Stars look easy Wednesday by jumping out to a 5-0 lead after two periods. In the first period, Fabbri, Stastny and Patrik Berglund scored. David Backes and Brouwer scored in the second period. Vladimir Tarasenko netted the Blues' sixth goal in the third period. Fabbri and Stastny each have three goals now in the postseason. Backes ended up with two points Wednesday. The Blues have won two Game 7s in the playoffs for the second time. The last time was in 1968, which was their inaugural season. May 11 - 11:42 PM
