Martin Straka officially retired from professional hockey on Friday after his Czech team was eliminated from the playoffs.
Straka retired from the NHL in 2008 and has been playing for HC Plzeň of the Czech Extraliga. He accumulated 257 goals, 460 assists and 717 points in 954 NHL games and won an Olympic gold and bronze medal in 1998 and 2006 respectively.
