Keith Tkachuk will become the sixth member of the Phoenix Coyotes Ring of Honor on December 23.
The Coyotes made the announcement that Tkachuk and Jeremy Roenick will be honored this season with Roenick being the seventh in February. In his first season in Phoenix Tkachuk became the first American-born player to lead the NHL in goals with 52 and he had a very successful career with the franchise that first started in Winnipeg. He had 323 goals and 623 points in 640 games and a fantasy worthy 1,508 penalty minutes. He joins Wayne Gretzky (99), Bobby Hull (9), Thomas Steen (25), Dale Hawerchuk (10) and Teppo Numminen (27) with Hull, Steen and Hawerchuk a reminder of the Winnipeg Jets days.
