The Blue Jackets are happy with their roster, and unlike other disappointing teams, they don't feel the need to revamp it at the trade deadline.
The Blue Jackets were a trendy pick in the preseason to build on last season’s playoff berth, but they have been ravaged by injuries, leading the league with 346 man-games lost. Thus, they are just 25-27-3 this season. "Well, we haven’t seen our team healthy all year, that’s a fact," general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said. "That would be nice if we could see it before the end of the year and see where we’re at, make that assessment. … I don’t think we’re in a situation where we need to blow things up or anything like that, not from a contractual point of view or any other point of view."
