Coach Joel Quenneville thought that Bickell had a very good opening round and thought his "size and physicality were noticeable". "It's up to 'Q' (Quenneville) what we do," Bickell said. "If I'm playing with (Jonathan) Toews or (Marian) Hossa, we got to work what we can do. If our line sticks together, we'll do the same thing. They’re first and third on each kill, they’re blocking shots, they’re getting in lanes and play at a good pace. It’s gotten them more of a role, more ice time. And that line played well all year, so a real nice fit for us." They've been something of an unlikely duo, especially seeing as Frolik wasn't known for killing penalties before coming to Chicago. "The way I've played so far this season is my best hockey since I got here," said Hjalmarsson. "I'm more comfortable with the puck and making more plays," he said.
