Brian Campbell has decided to end his playing career and join the Blackhawks' operations department.
Campbell is bringing an end to a playing career that spanned 1,082 games. He scored 87 goals and 504 points with the Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, and San Jose Sharks. The defenseman surpassed the 40-point milestone on five different occasions and set a career-high of 62 points in 2007-08. He also won the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2010. "I'm excited to transition into the next step in both my professional career and life," said Campbell. "I'm grateful to the countless number of teammates, coaches, team staff and fans that I have crossed paths with throughout my playing career in Chicago, Buffalo, Florida and San Jose.
