Tony Pulis has confirmed that Ben Foster suffered a "minor setback" in his recovery from knee surgery and the Baggies’ goalkeeper is not expected to make a return to first team duties until December.
Foster is training outside again but West Brom will be very keen to ensure that the England international is not risked unnecessarily with Boaz Myhill and Anders Lindegaard as viable goalkeeping options. Foster was injured back in March v Stoke City. Originally believed to be a cartilage tear, an exploratory operation revealed damage to the anterior cruciate ligament which was expected to take around 6-months to heal. Under Pulis West Brom have kept clean sheets in fourteen of their 24 PL games and their steady progress has been built upon a solid defensive foundation which was strengthened even further by the summer signing of Jonny Evans. West Brom have kept successive clean sheets since the Irish international arrived at the club. Sep 28 - 6:24 AM
