Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the opener in the final half hour of the match to set Swansea City up for their third win on the trot, but West Brom managed to equalize in stoppage time to end the affair in a 1-1 draw.
Sigurdsson provided the Jacks with their best scoring chance in the first half, smashing a volley from 35 yards out, but Ben Foster was able to tip the shot over the bar. There was a scary moment just before halftime when Stephane Sessegnon kicked his leg out high and caught Ki Sung-Yueng square in the head, dropping the South Korean to the ground for a few minutes. Ki is thought to only be mildly concussed according to later reports. Sigurdsson got his goal in the second half when he slid home a shot after debutante Alberto Paloschi held the ball up for him. They could not seal the deal for three points though, conceding in the closing moments. Still, that makes seven points in three for the Swans, who are beginning to get their act together.
