Arsene Wenger has signed the rumored three year contract to extend his stay at Arsenal through the end of the 2016-17 season.
Arsenal supporters as a group are probably still split on what they think about Wenger even after the club broke it's nine season trophy drought with the FA Cup win. Critics will be looking for Wenger to strengthen key gaps at the base of midfield, at forward, and right back with the sort of big names you'd associate with a title contender. Whether Wenger has failed to do so in recent seasons due to financial constraints, his perception of value in the market, or the willingness of top level players to come to the Emirates is unclear. With Arsenal's financial position improving considerably over the last two years, the first reason seems to be off the table this summer.
