Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline hears that NC State edge rusher Kentavius Street will undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL "in the next couple of weeks."
News broke on Wednesday that Street had suffered a significant knee injury, with clarification later arriving courtesy of PFT's Mike Florio that he had sustained a torn ACL while going through a private workout with the Giants. Pauline relays that the 6-foot-2, 280-pounder has had a "phenomenal" attitude about his injury and down-the-road recovery. Given that ACL tears generally come with a six-month recovery timetable at the minimum, Street likely won't be ready for NFL training camps or the start of the regular season, but could potentially see the field before 2018 is out. We still view him as a probable Day 3 selection for later this month. Apr 5 - 12:52 PM
