Kevin Chappell birdied four of his last six holes to post a bogey-free 4-under-par 36-32=68 in the final round of the Memorial, finishing alone in second at 10-under 278.
Chappell was treading water for his first 12 holes, but business picked up when he dropped a 20'1" birdie on the par-4 13th. He added an easy birdie on the par-5 15th after finding the green in two, then put some serious pressure on Matt Kuchar when he sunk a 19'4" birdie on the 17th. Chappell trailed by two entering the final hole and stuck his approach to the par-4 to 2'3", but Kuchar rolled in a birdie on top of him to end it. With is 2013-14 PGA TOUR card locked up, he now looks for more opportunities to close the door on his first win. Jun 2 - 6:04 PM
