Brian Stuard reached the midpoint of the HP Byron Nelson Championship in even-par 71-69=140 to survive the cut on the number.
Stuard hit 30 greens in regulation at TPC Four Seasons over his first 36 holes, but offset six birdies with four bogeys and a double. While he puts an 0-for-5 slide to an end, his work isn't done. Because 83 golfers made the cut, a second cut of low 70 and ties will fall at the conclusion of 54 holes. Others sneaking inside the bubble at 140 include defending champion Jason Dufner; 2010 winner Jason Day; 2009 champ Rory Sabbatini; Padraig Harrington; and 52-year-old Kenny Perry, who admitted on Golf Channel this week that he didn't know that he was still fully exempt on the PGA TOUR. Clearly, the senior doesn't read Rotoworld where we always keep up on status.

Brian Stuard has cooled from his torrid start to 2013 and enters the Wells Fargo Championship having missed his last three cuts.
Before that, Stuard was a perfect eight-for-eight, so the slump was probably due to hit him. The most noticeable difference has been a balky putter, giving back 1.837 strokes to the field per round at TPC Louisiana. He tied for 57th there in his only trip, but his 2013 season is far exceeding his rookie year on TOUR and his form should be leaned on more heavily than past history in most cases.

Brian Stuard spun a 5-under-par 34-33=67 in the third round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, completing 54 holes in 6-under-par 210.
The Web.com Tour grad circled seven birdies to just two bogeys on his third lap around Bay Hill, with 35'2" putt on the eight and an approach from 100 yards to three inches on the par-4 10th severing as the highlights. After an unsuccessful first stint on the PGA TOUR in 2010, he's managed to secure paychecks in each of his eight starts, counting this week, with three top 10s already on the ledger. He will go for his fourth top 10 in Sunday's finale.

Brian Stuard secured a tie for fourth with Justin Bolli at the Puerto Rico Open with a 4-under-par 33-35=68, finishing the week at 18-under 270.
This is his second top five, and third top 10 of the season. His previous best was a tie for fifth at the Sony Open to kick off the year. In his last lap around Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico, he birdied three of his first five holes before giving back two shots with back-to-back bogeys on the 10th and 11th holes. He then heated up just in time to birdie three of his final four holes. He now moves on to the Tampa Bay Championship.
