With a walk-off bogey, Ian Poulter completed a 5-under-par 32-33=65 in his third round at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational.
That's lifted the Englishman into a tie for the clubhouse lead on 5-under 205 with Steven Bowditch and puts him in a tie for fifth spot in real time. Poulter responded from his disappointing Friday 72 with a lap of Firestone containing seven birdies and two bogeys. He set the tone with three straight par breakers out of the gate and added another at the sixth although gave that shot back at the next hole. The Ryder Cup star circled further par breakers at 10 and 14 against a bogey at 14 and rolled in an 11 footer on 18 to beat his best round at Firestone by two shots. Poulter is very much back in the ball game here and won't be afraid to follow it with another low one tomorrow. Aug 8 - 4:35 PM
