With a birdie on the first playoff hole, Thongchai Jaidee came away with victory at the Nordea Masters.
The Thai penciled in a 4 at the 18th hole at PGA Sweden National in Malmö, Sweden, while Victor Dubuisson and Stephen Gallacher settled for par-5s. Jaidee started the day four strokes adrift of overnight co-leaders Henrik Stenson and Eddie Pepperell (who had shared the lead after every round). Jaidee then opened birdie-birdie-birdie and picked off an eagle and two birdies on his inward nine to post 7-under 33-32=65 for 16-under 272. While Stenson (71) and Pepperell (72) faded to finish fifth and T6, respectively, Dubuisson closed with bogey-free, 5-under 32-35=67 with five birdies. Gallacher snuck in with a birdie at the last for 4-under 34-34=68. Thanks to his bogey-free, 7-under 34-31=65, Robert-Jan Derksen took solo fourth one stroke outside the playoff. This is Jaidee's sixth European Tour title. He is now exempt into the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational this summer. Jun 1 - 1:18 PM
