Overnight co-leader and World No. 88 Ryan Palmer labored to a 3-over-par 35-38=73 in the third round of The Honda Classic, dropping seven places into a 12-way T8 on 6-under 204.
After opening in 66-65, the Texan co-led with Wesley Bryan, one clear of Rickie Fowler. While Fowler was carding a bogey-free 65 out of the penultimate pairing, he chased a lone birdie-2 at seven (from 12'6") with bogey-5s at eight, 10, 12 and 14, falling seven in arrears to 54-hole leader Fowler. This was the 40-year-old's fifth career 36-hole lead/co-lead in 346 career starts (345 pro), first since the 2014 Dell Technologies Championship (formerly Deutsche Bank), where he finished T16 (63-71-71-71). He conjured just five (of 14) fairways and 11 greens in regulation, recording a dismal 2.000 putts per GIR, -2.460 SG: Putting, and 33 putts. Feb 25 - 6:45 PM
