Charl Schwartzel signed for a 1-under-par 69 in the third round of the U.S. Open and reaches the 54-hole mark in the clubhouse lead at even-par 210.
Schwartzel felt the pressure of the lead much of the afternoon at Merion, bouncing back from a bogey at the par-5 second with four birdies on his next eight holes to take the lead. He would remain with one hand on the lead for the remainder of the afternoon until he suffered back-to-back bogeys to end his round.
