Defending champ Steven Bowditch back-pedaled to a 5-over-par 38-37=75 in the third round of the AT&T Byron Nelson and at 3-over 213, will not have a Sunday tee time.
Bowditch was one of 17 players at T67 after two rounds had been completed so a second cut of low 70 and ties was required after 54 holes. He made the 36-hole cut on the number after opening in 68-70, but stumbled to two birdies against three bogeys and two double bogey-6s in the third round. On the plus side, he entered the week off five consecutive missed cuts with a cumulative 50-over-par during the stretch, so getting to the third round was a small step in the right direction. Joining the Aussie on the pine for Sunday are: 209- Andrew Landry; OQer Conrad Shindler ... 210- Derek Fathauer; Cameron Percy ... 211- Greg Owen; OQer Lance Lopez ... 212- Marc Turnesa ... 213- Andrew Loupe.
