Robinson Cano almost single-handedly dragged the Mariners to victory in Saturday's 3-2 win, 10-inning win over the Astros, homering twice and collecting four hits.
Cano has been absolute money in May and he continued to sizzle on Saturday. He hit a solo home run off Dallas Keuchel in the fourth inning. That was sweet, but his second home run was even more pivotal. After the Astros tied the contest at 2-all in the ninth inning, Cano came right back to swat a go-ahead solo homer off reliever Tony Sipp in the 10th inning. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. The star second baseman is now slashing a beautiful .306/.358/.621 with 11 homers and 32 RBI over 124 at-bats. Simply fantastic. May 7 - 11:14 PM
