Mike Cameron has decided to retire from baseball.
It's an abrupt decision, but not altogether surprising when you think about it. Cameron, 39, was on a minor league deal with the Nats, and with Rick Ankiel and Roger Bernadina also around and Bryce Harper likely to be ready sometime in the first half, the veteran probably didn't see much of an opportunity. Cameron finishes his 17-year career with a .249/.338/.444 batting line, 278 homers and 297 steals to go along with three Gold Gloves and one All-Star game appearance. Sun, Feb 19, 2012 11:25:00 AM
