Neil Walker drove in two runs with a single in Wednesday's win over the Brewers.
He also hit the ground ball that Rickie Weeks threw away to allow the Pirates to score the go-ahead run. Since returning from the DL on Monday, Walker has recorded three hits and drawn a pair of walks.

Neil Walker went 2-for-3 Tuesday in his second game since coming off the disabled list.
Walker was sidelined since April 26 with a laceration on his right index finger and went 0-for-4 in his return on Monday. He fared better Tuesday, singling twice and scoring two runs. The left-hander was also true to his namesake, walking twice on the evening. He can be safely returned to fantasy lineups.

Pirates activated 2B Neil Walker from the 15-day disabled list.
Walker has been out since April 26 because of a laceration on his right index finger that required six stitches. He had a weak .253/.352/.342 batting line before the injury but can be started safely again in fantasy leagues. The 27-year-old hit .280/.342/.426 with 14 home runs and 69 RBI in 129 games last season.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review confirms Neil Walker (hand) will be activated from the disabled list Monday.
Walker had a brief rehab assignment at Double-A Altoona and will join the Pirates on Monday for their upcoming three-game series with Milwaukee. He was batting .253/.352/.342 with one home run and eight RBI through his first 23 games prior to the injury. Jordy Mercer will be sent down in a corresponding move.

That's assuming he gets through bullpen sessions on Tuesday and Friday with no issues. McDonald is slated to go four innings and/or throw 65 pitches for Altoona, so he'll need at least one additional rehab start before being activated. He's not a given to rejoin the rotation once healthy.

Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Thursday that Charlie Morton (elbow, shoulder) will make three more minor league rehab starts.
Morton's rehab from Tommy John surgery was recently halted due to some shoulder soreness, but he returned to game action Thursday with Double-A Altoona and gave up two runs in four innings. If all goes well, he could join the Pirates' rotation in the early part of June.

Karstens, currently working his way back from shoulder inflammation, gave up one run in three innings Monday in his first rehab outing with High-A Bradenton. He could join the Pirates by early June, though it isn't clear what his role will be.
