Carlos Zambrano allowed two earned runs over seven innings in a 3-2 win over the Indians.
He struggled with command issues throughout, and managed just two strikeouts. In eight starts this season, Zambrano is 2-2 with a 1.96 ERA and 41/22 K/BB ratio. Continue to view him as a must-start in all formats.

Carlos Zambrano got stuck with a no-decision in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Mets, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks in seven innings of walk.
A resurgent Big Z struck out seven in lowering his ERA 1.88. His WHIP nudged slightly upward to 1.04. Clearly taking to Miami and manager Ozzie Guillen, Zambrano is a must start in all formats until further notice. He'll get the Indians in Cleveland on Friday.

Carlos Zambrano twirled a gem Monday, shutting the Astros out on just three hits and a walk while striking out nine in the 4-0 win.
Yes, it came against the Astros, but it's awfully impressive, especially since the 'Stros have played some good ball of late. It's Big Z's first win of the season, but that's only because of a lack of run support and bullpen issues, as he now holds a 1.98 ERA and 1.02 WHIP through six starts. He'll get the Mets this weekend.

Carlos Zambrano turned in his strongest performance of the season on Wednesday, limiting the Giants to just five hits over seven shutout innings.
Zambrano struck out five and walked three in the game. He should have picked up his first victory of the season, but Heath Bell again imploded in the ninth inning blowing his win. Zambrano still sits at 0-2, though he owns a very respectable 2.53 ERA. He'll try again to grab that elusive first win when he squares off against the Astros in Houston on Monday.

Marlins placed OF Emilio Bonifacio on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 19, with a sprained left thumb.
It's still not clear what the MRI results are, but obviously the injury is bad enough to keep Bonifacio out for at least a couple weeks. Chris Coghlan has been recalled, but Bryan Petersen figures to benefit the most in terms of increased playing time while Bonifacio is out.

Marlins placed RHP Jose Ceda on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with a right elbow injury.
Ceda underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery on Tuesday and will miss the entire 2012 campaign.

Suspended
Barry Jackson and Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald report that Juan Carlos Oviedo will be suspended eight weeks, not six weeks as originally reported, for using a fake identity.
It's been increased because MLB originally planned to suspend him for two weeks of spring training and six weeks of the regular season, but because he missed all of spring training, he'll have to serve all eight weeks during the season. Oviedo still hasn't received a visa to return to the United States, and the Marlins aren't sure when he'll get one. The suspension won't begin until then.
