Albert Pujols hit his fourth homer Tuesday off Oakland's Graham Godfrey.
Pujols now has three homers in a week. Still, he had gone four straight games without an RBI before knocking in two runs with the homer and a sac fly tonight.

Albert Pujols made his season debut at third base during Sunday's extra-inning game.
Pujols started four games at third for the Cardinals last season in his first action at the position since 2002. He probably won't get any starts there this year, but he might make the occasional odd appearance.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Albert Pujols could be used at third base during interleague play.
The Angels are looking to get Pujols, Kendrys Morales, and Mark Trumbo in the same lineup without a designated hitter, and haven't ruled out the possibility of trying Pujols at third base, though nothing is imminent. Pujols appeared at third base in seven games with the Cardinals in 2011.

Albert Pujols homered in a second straight game to give the Angels their only run against the White Sox.
Pujols admired this one, a blast to dead center off left-hander Chris Sale. We'd write that he should act like he's done it before, but then it had been a while since he hit one that impressive.

Iannetta had the pisiform bone removed from his wrist and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. Bobby Wilson and John Hester will fill in behind the plate for now, though Hank Conger (elbow) could be an option in a couple weeks.

Wells needs surgery and will be sidelined for at least 8-10 weeks. Peter Bourjos is due for an uptick in playing time while the veteran is out.

Langerhans will not need surgery but will still be out for an extended amount of time. The Halos have brought up Kole Calhoun for depth while Langerhans and Vernon Wells (thumb) are sidelined.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia hopes that Torii Hunter will return from the restricted list during the club's current road trip.
The Angels won't return home until a week from Monday, so Scioscia is offering a rather broad goal. Hunter was placed on the restricted list Monday after his 17-year-old son, Darius McClinton-Hunter, was arrested in Texas on charges related to sexual assault. At the time, Hunter said he wouldn't rejoin the Angels until his son's legal issues were resolved. One of the family's lawyers, Todd Shapiro, called for charges to be dismissed after the accuser "recanted everything that she told the police eight days ago" in a phone call which was unknowingly taped by a Hunter family friend, so perhaps resolution is forthcoming.

LaTroy Hawkins threw Monday without a custom splint for the first time since breaking his right pinkie finger earlier this month.
Hawkins began throwing on flat ground over the weekend, but he now feels comfortable enough to do it without the splint. The veteran right-hander remains on track to return in the early part of June.

Angels transferred RHP Michael Kohn from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
It's a procedural move in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Kole Calhoun. Kohn will miss all of 2012 while recovering from Tommy John surgery.
