Following the early exit of Carlos Carrasco (forearm), Oliver Perez came on to allow one run on two hits over 1 2/3 innings of relief in Saturday's loss to the Twins.
Carrasco was forced out in the second inning after taking a Joe Mauer liner to the right elbow. Enter Perez, who surrendered a run a short while later via a Logan Morrison RBI double following a single and subsequent stolen base from Eddie Rosario. The veteran southpaw settled in after that early hiccup, tossing a clean third inning before passing the baton to the rest of his bullpen-mates. Since being signed by the Indians on June 2, Perez has been quite sharp, having not allowed a run in six appearances prior to Saturday. He should continue to work as a useable piece for the Tribe moving forward, but there's no fantasy upside here. Jun 16 - 7:08 PM
